Yes, it's true! Jillian Harris wears far & free sunglasses. The Wanderlust Earth Tones style, to be exact.
I took a chance on myself in early 2021 and started building a west coast inspired sunglass brand. The eyewear design stage was a fun and insightful journey that I will share more about soon, but today I’ll tell you how these Wanderlust sunglasses ended up in Jillian’s hands (or on her face, I should say).
This all started simply enough by Jillian reading a comment I posted about my business while she hosted an Instagram live video on Women’s Day. She was kind enough to give my small new brand a shoutout, so I wanted to send her a pair of sunglasses as a 'thank you'. Here’s the twist… Of all the designs Jillian could have chosen, she asked for the one that was originally inspired by her and the city of Kelowna without even knowing it. That’s right, Jillian was my muse for the Wanderlust sunglass design! My heart skipped a beat when I saw her choice, and I don’t think I had ever packed an order so quickly.
I pulled out all the stops when it came to this collection, designing not only for style, but comfort, quality and sustainability all rolled into classic lifelong pieces. The sunglasses were on their way to Jillian and all I could do was hope that they fit her comfortably, and she liked the design enough to wear it…She did.
On April 1st, Jillian posted the cutest photo wearing her new far & free Wanderlust sunglasses in the happiest place on earth, which subsequently made me the happiest woman on earth.
